Last weekend my parents came for a short little visit to our house. We hadn’t seen them since Christmas and we were all desperately needing a visit with each other!
I was so glad that they were able to come and do some really fun stuff with the girls. I’ve been so seriously unfun these last few weeks, that it made my heart really happy to see them getting out with Abigail and Mabel and doing all sorts of fun things.
Unfortunately(fortunately?) I spent most of the weekend in bed avoiding smells and feeling generally like death warmed over, but everyone else had a really great visit and I’m so glad my parents were able to come! They’ll be back at the end of March, but as always, that never feels soon enough!
They arrived on Friday morning with donuts in hand, which made for two extremely happy(and spoiled) little ladies.
My Mom and Abigail also had fun doing a “Chopped” competition in the kitchen one afternoon. They made lemon meringue and chocolate chip cookies, and I think Abigail had the best time ever.
A few things you can always count on when Grammy and Pappy come to visit: yummy food, lots of games, and way too much fun.
They took a few trips to the mall for some playing. One day for the playground and lunch, another for a trip to the arcade for some lazer tag and mini golf!
Oh yes, and a few rides on the mall rides 😉 What are grandparents for if not for mall rides?
Mabel kept asking to ride the “woof woof”. I mean, how can you resist that? And THAT FACE.
Abigail got dressed after she saw Grammy. She wanted to match 🙂
Once again, THAT FACE! Apparently everyone had a grand time playing mini golf, but none quite so much as the Mabes.
It was so much fun packed into two short days and we can’t wait for the chance to do it again. And I’m hoping I will feel up for participating in it all by their next visit!
