This is SUCH a quintessential Mabel face. She rarely shows us her teeth when she smiles. It’s so Mabely and I love it.
I’m officially dubbing Mabel’s 2nd birthday as the year of outside toys. Or, something like that.
If there is one thing I don’t need more of inside my house, it is toys. And with a big sister who acquired just about every awesome toy there is in her first 6 years of life, I had to rack my brain a bit to think of what Miss Mabel could even use or need.
So, I compiled a fun little list of things that will be SO MUCH FUN for her and also make my yard a wreck, but at least my house will still be clean. So, win.
I’m most excited about the prospect of getting her a balance bike. We never had one with Abigail, but a few weeks ago Jim took the pedals off of an old bike that Abigail had outgrown and within DAYS she was riding her own bike without training wheels. Seriously amazing! So I would love to get Mabel started even sooner with her own bike! And this pink one? To die for.
She is also super into dirt and water and grass and rocks and all of that goodness right now(I just got her some gardening tools for Easter) so I’m thinking this Little Tikes Garden Table and the Green Toys watering can would be so much fun for her!!
And on the practical side of things, she has been sharing plates and utensils with Abigail and I’m tired of only having five plates between the two of them.
Also she has chewed up almost all of the lids of the cups I got her for her birthday last year soooo…new cups stat.
We are so excited to celebrate the little miss this weekend with a special birthday party just for her! And then we’ll keep the celebration right on rolling until her actual birthday on the 16th! I can’t believe my baby girl is about to turn two!
What was on your toddlers birthday wish list?
