Mother’s Day 2017 was a great one! Initially, my parents weren’t going to be able to stay because they had to get to Kansas City for flights back home. But things got changed around and shifted and they were able to come to church with us in the morning and out to lunch afterwards, which was great. It’s always a good year when I get to spend Mother’s Day with MY Mama.
My Dad picked up donuts for breakfast, Jim hand delivered my Starbucks order, Jim and the girls gave me the camera lens that has been on my wish list for years, and we got to have a delicious Cheddars lunch after church!
We came back home for naps, but not before a few pictures!
My favorite handwriting in the world!
After naps, we went out in Jim’s convertible for happy hour frappuccinos and then back home for a quick and easy dinner of leftovers.
Our house is filled with so many sweets and treats from Mabel’s birthday party this weekend, we are stocked for weeks!
Another fun Mother’s Day event was we finally announced baby boy’s name!
Our sweet little Finn.
A good number of you remembered me mentioning this name as our boy option from when I was pregnant with Mabel! If that was you, you get a gold star!
His middle name is still currently under intense debate, we each have a name that we’re pulling for…..and if we can’t get to an agreement sometime soon, I just might have to bring it to the blog to get your vote!
But we were ready and wanting to let you all know who he is, because we’re all calling him Finn(except for Mabel, she calls him “Shay” and we have no idea why) all of the time and sooner or later it was going to be typed or said!
Whew. Pairing up a 2nd birthday party, Mother’s Day, and family visits made this quite a whirlwind of a weekend! But it was kind of the best and we were all sorry to see it go.
