I don’t know about you, but I love looking at gift guides! I love to get fun and unique ideas for Christmas gifts from other Mamas and I love shopping for my kids!
For basically the first time ever, I’m actually DONE with Christmas shopping for my kiddos with plenty of time to spare. Now I just need to keep myself from adding anything to the pile over the next two weeks 😉
This year, we’ll be doing our own special family Christmas on the 20th and then we will be taking our Santa and stocking gifts with us to Phoenix for Christmas morning! (I’m not sure who is more excited, me or the girls!)
It is a little tricky because we can’t really do any *big* gifts from Santa, since we need to be able to bring anything that we give them back home on an airplane. Last year, we circumvented that a little bit by having a friend set up a small trampoline for the girls in the house and Santa left them a letter saying that it was waiting for them in Missouri. It was fun, but I think it’s more fun for the presents to be right there when they get up on Christmas morning.
So, in case you are still shopping and need some more ideas- or just like looking at what other people are getting for their kids(like I do!) I thought I would share what we got for all three kids this year.
From Santa: A purple purse, with a short handle, but big enough to carry all of her “things”.
Twin Hatchimals– She has been begging for these ever since her birthday! She got a regular Hatchimal and I figured once it hatched that she wouldn’t touch it again, but color me surprised, she(and Mabel!) love playing with that little thing. So, we’ll be adding two more to the mix.
From Mom & Dad:
A tool set– Abigail loves to do projects and build things. For now it has just been cardboard projects mostly, but she is always asking to use Jim’s scrap wood out in the yard and tries to build things with the neighbor kids. Jim wanted her to have a beginner’s set of tools so that she can finally do some actual building! He remembers fondly spending hoursssss outside building things as a kid, so he is hoping that Abigail can do the same!
Games- we got her Pay Day, but I’ve been keeping an eye out for Catan for Kids. It has been sold out everywhere I’ve seen, but if I find it, I’m going to scoop it up!
Stuffed Animals– My girls and their love of stuffed animals. We got a bunch of animals for Mabel, so I grabbed a couple when the Disney Store had their Black Friday sale for Miss A too 🙂
A Solly Baby Carrier– Both girls try to take and use my ACTUAL baby wraps for Finn, so I’m hoping getting them their own smaller versions will stop them from using mine. We’ll see 😉
From Santa: Her own special digital camera(just like Abigail’s- but blue!)
From Mom & Dad:
Stuffed animals– Miss Mabel is our stuffed animal girl! She loves, loves, loves her stuffed babies. I was so excited when I found Moana and her animal friends during Black Friday. She is going to love them!!
Dance clothes– She only has ONE dance class outfit currently, because I wasn’t sure whether she would like dance or not. Turns out? She LOVES it! So she needs more dance outfit choices 🙂
A Solly baby carrier – a pink carrier for my little mama in her favorite color!
Moana Play Set– this set is her favorite scene in the movie! Had to get it for her.
A New Backpack – her current back pack is a hand me down from A that has been well loved, that is to say, it is dirty and ripped, lol. So I think she’ll be so happy with her new fancy one!
From Santa: I just realized…..the big guy hasn’t gotten him anything. I guess I’d better fix that!
From Mom & Dad:
The V Tech Alphabet Train– With no gifts coming for him until September, I opted to get him something he can use in a few months. This was one of Abigail’s all time favorite toys, so I hope Finn loves it just as much!
Activity Center/Jumperoo– The little guy is getting some strong legs! I remember Abigail in her jumperoo and can’t wait to see him use this!
From Grammy & Pappy:
Anywhere Chair– to match the sissies!
In His Stocking:
And that’s it!
….for now 😉
